Stunning Bride Georgie in Bonzie Tea Party Bridal Skirt.

We were so excited to receive these images from our Australian based client Georgie. We absolutely adore her elegant styling from top to toe. She looks effortlessly chic in such a simple and elegant ensemble. Georgie chose a Bonzie tiered tulle Tea Party Bridal Skirt in Ivory from our Etsy store ( see here)  and teamed it with a simple vest top and with intricate detailing on the neckline. We especially loved Georgie's sleek hairdo! A stunning look for a beautiful Bride!

When Bonzie Met Susarto

We met Susarto ( Susan Moloney) through the wonders of the web many moons ago and the friendship that formed was instant. We bonded over craft/etsy and her love of Ireland ( A love that inevitably meant she married a fine Irish Beauchaill from Limerick) Sus lives and works in Philedelphia and creates incredible thought provoking artwork using found objets and often macabre elements and themes. Susarto has exhibited her mixed media work all over the US. Of course being a fellow eccentric we had a lot in common.

Recently we decided to team up and create a few collaborative pieces just for the heck of it. The results were fantastic. A juxtaposition of the soft signature ruffles and feminine embellishments of our own work with the Gothic/macabre aesthetic of Susarto's work and we had ourselves the beginning of "one of a kind" wearable art collectibles.

We enjoyed the collaboration so much that we are looking forward to continuing the relationship. In fact Susarto shipped a new bunch of Vintage Lassies ( see pic above) from the US which arrived this morning. The term child in a sweet shop comes to mind as we clambered through the packaging to get at the new delivery!

Lili Forberg weds her sweetheart!

The stunning Celeb Photographer Lili Forberg wed her sweetheart this year in a Vintage inspired romantic fashion during the Summer. We were delighted to find Lili's special day featured in VIP Magazine this month. Lili wears a couture bonzie wedding gown that we custom created for Lili's big day. The Dress featured the most amazing french style tulle based lace with hand beaded pearls and seed beads in creamy ivory. The main feature of the dress was the embellished area under the bustline in a signature bonzie style sash featuring handcrafted silk corsages, lace appliques and handbeading. A delicate layer of soft tulle petticoat finished the look creating a romantic one of a kind gown created especially for Lili.

We would like to wish both Lili and her new Hubbie the most magical joureny through life together and here's to new adventures in 2012.

Bonzie Intern ~ Gracie

Gracie appeared in the December issue of Kiss Magazine thanks to the fabulous photoshoot by local photographer Katie Kavanagh. Katie also offers up her time at the studio and she's a really wonderful addition to the team. We are so blessed to have such lovely gals volunteering their time with us, each gal, Enda, Katie and Gracie bring so much to the table and we couldn't imagine the studio any other way these days!

Gracie got right into the spirt of things at the fair and we applied some quirky vintage make up for the day! She was like a porcelain doll!

Gracie received a signed copy of Angel Adorée's new Vintage Tea Party Book! A perfect prize for the up and coming vintage fashionista! We were so proud!

Bonzie Intern Gracie came to us through the work experience project during her transition year in school. Gracie attends Abbey Community College in Waterford and she has proved a really exciting addition to the Bonzie team. Gracie is so enthusiastic, competent and reliable, she's a young lady going places in our opinion. She bounces into our study with a genuine joy for creating and is soaking up the experience in the hope of fulfilling her own dream to go on to study Fashion Design at college one day. Since joining the team we have immersed Gracie in all aspects of the business, from creating 100's of handcrafted corsages one day to manning a stand at a Vintage Fair and most recently featuring in her own article in a National glossy magazine. It's been such a joy watching Gracie's experience and a real honour to be part of that journey for this special young lady. Even though Gracie's school work experience ended quite some time ago she continues to offer up her free time to help out at the studio and this is a testament to this girls drive and determination to achieve her goals and get that step closer to her dreams. It's really wonderful to see such ambition in such a young girl, we are grateful to have her on our team.

A Tragic Romance

On another "Tragic Romance" direction. Our lovely intern Katie returned from a trip to Dublin with a snapshot of the current Brown Thomas store window for this Christmas..... needless to say we were drooling all over the set/design/textures/clothing used in the production. Looks incredible and well worth a visit on Grafton St, Dublin.

We've been very busy of late in the studio prepping for our exhibit at SHOWCASE in the RDS at the end of Jan. We are creating work in a signature tragic romantic tattered couture style. Here's a sneak peak of one of the most recent pieces in the collection. Looking forward to doing editorial style photoshoot with the new work soon. Will keep you guys posted.
