Running away with the Circus!

Gals,

I'm running away with the Circus!!!

Tomorrow I hit Electric Picnic Festival in Stradbally,Co.Laois to work backstage with none other than "Lucent Dossier". I have been a huge fan of these guys for a long time and swoon over stunning images on the web whenever I need a lift and never thought that I would have an opportunity to see them let alone meet them and work for them. I will be working as a Costume Mistress for the performers at the festival this week and I feel like I have quite literally ticked one of my dreams off my bucket list!!!

It's my first festival EVER! ( hangs head in shame at 29 years of age!) and I have a feeling it's going to be a great weekend of escapism. I hope to blog about it and share the experience when I get home. :) ( I spent last night practicing erecting my new tent on my own out my back garden, quite and experience in itself!)

Check out Lucent Dossier HERE they are a feast for the senses!!!
See you at Electric Picnic!!!

BONZIE ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Gals,
We have been very busy over the last few weeks tweaking and developing our brand and one of the most obvious patterns that has emerged to us over the last few months is that our customers often go to our online store at http://www.bonzie.etsy.com/ only to find that it's full with mostly bridal wraps and shrugs, however.... Bonzie does a lot more than that and up until now those tattered couture designs have only been available to our local clients...until now that is!!

We are in the middle of creating our newest website http://www.bonziedesigns.etsy.com/ where you can purchase bonzie pieces from a selection of cuffs, tattered tees, jackets, millinery, corsages, bags etc. Basically all of the fancy bonzie bits and bobs that we do other than our bridal range. :)

We hope you enjoy the new stock being uploaded over the coming week and look forward to meeting some new customers soon. xxx

Client Corner ~ Poppaea

Gorgeous Detailing from Poppaea's Gorgeous Gown!!! ( That she made herself!)

We Love Poppaea's Original Sketch for her Gown and Bolero!

Gals,

I couldn't get onto to blogger fast enough to share this gorgeous bride with you from the UK. Poppaea approached us some time ago to create a custom Victorian Inspired bolero to wear with her stunning Vintage style wedding ensemble.

Poppaea is a Costume Designer herself and ...wait for it......made her own gown!!! It's an absolute showstopper and we couldn't wait to get stuck into the bolero. ( Poppaea's Website)

The details in this wedding are absolutely incredible and have a really vintage nostalgic charm. It even caught the eye of top UK Bridal Blogger , http://www.lovemydress.net/ who featured the whole wedding from start to finish showcasing all the magical details that Poppaea worked into her big day!

To see more lush pictures from this stunning wedding check out the feature HERE on the Love My Dress Blog.

Client Corner ~ Colleen

Gals,

We were recently blown away by these stunning images from our client Colleens gorgeous New York Penthouse Wedding. Colleen purchased our "Ivory Tulle Rococco Wrap" to compliment her designer wedding gown and it worked out beautifully with her overall ensemble.

We were thrilled to have an opportunity to see Colleens album by photographer Jen Huang! Doesn't the wedding look like an absolutely gorgeous day! Colleen had a ceremony in Central Park and by the look of the smiles on the faces it looks to be a really magical day for everyone.

We loved working with Colleen , she was such a pleasurable client and really included us in her special day.
We hope you both have a magical life journey together.

Happy Bank Holiday Weekend!

new embellished maxi at Smoking Lily Boutique , Kilkenny!!

Gals, for those of you living outside of Ireland you might not know that this particular weekend is a very busy weekend for activities and festivities. Our hometown of Waterford is taken over by the fabulous Spraoi Festival where the Arts Community literally lines the streets to share local arts, music and culture along with a few treats of the liquid variety for the spectators. With no work for most on the Monday it's a long weekend that is enjoyed by many!

Since our lovely day out at the new Artisan Craft Fair at the Limerick Milk Markets ( more posts to come on that!) we then made a drop to our official stockist in Kilkenny, Smoking Lily Boutique ( Kierans St, Kilkenny City) to deliver some new pieces to Shona in anticipation of the upcoming Kilkenny Arts Festival hitting on the 6th of August! ( that and the fact that the bonzie corner was running bare with all the July sales and literally needed an injection of new lovelies )

It's been such an incredibly busy week gals, with a lot going on for bonzie. We are now expanding into other projects and spreading our wings a little so we hope you stay and enjoy the flight! :)

We have two new photoshoots coming up this week, and some good news of the Limerick Variety with a new boutique stockist coming onboard for the lovely ladies of Limerick to frequent when we are not at the monthly market there! :)

I took to the coast this weekend for a much needed break. We stayed in a mobile home just behind the Sand Dunes at Bonmahon Beach with our mini yorkie and it was absolute bliss. No phone signal, no internet ( this was a tough one for me! lol) and no city sounds, it was absolutely fab. I'm home now wading through emails, convos, picture editing, facebook etc...... I can feel the rash coming on already! lol

ya gotta love Bank Holidays! :)

Hope you guys enjoyed your one too!!!!!
