"Bonzie" is an Independent Irish Design Label with Romantic Vintage Appeal. Aunt and Niece, design duo, Ger and Yvonne work on their creative passion from their studios in Ireland.
Irena looking every inch the sexy siren on her wedding day. What an incredible silhouette!
Client Corner ~ Irena
Irena and her party of bridesmaids all wearing Bonzie couture bridal boleros. Irena opted for the pure silk ruffled bridal bolero and the girls are all wearing the Bonzie Pierrot organza boleros. Irena gifted her girls their boleros each so we wrapped them all up individually and sent them across the world for her special day.
What a romantic finished look! Congrats to Irena and her hubby, wishing you both all the best in your new life together. May your journey bring lots of adventure.

Order your bridal boleros/wraps for the upcoming season and avoid the rush after Christmas.
We have been spending quite a bit of time away from cyberspace ( hence the tumbleweed sweeping through the blog!) and tucked up in our studios in a blast of productivity. We are currently building up stock for an exciting venture about to be revealed and it's important to put as much effort into getting enough products ready in time.
Pictured above is a sample of one of the new range of items that we are busy working on, we have a whole selection of these in various different colour schemes and sizes coming soon. ( Would be an ideal Xmas Gift if you knew any fashion forward buddies who like to stand out from the crowd!)
This particular piece above is on it's way to Waterford Healing Arts Trust to sponsor an upcoming fundraiser for the local Waterford Regional Hospital. More about that event later for those of you who are reading the blog from the local Waterford area. (Promises to be a great fashion filled night of fun!)
Bonzie Vintage Inspired Couture Necklaces can be found soon on www.bonzie.etsy.com

Watching a film presentation on designing the future! It was quite profound actually.

Look who our neighbour was!!! None other than Shane O'Neill of Aspect Photography(www.aspectphotography.net) who regularly collaborates with us and who is responsible for some of the more stunning and provocative images in our portfolio. Shane also rocked out a bonzie photograph for his exhibit entry and just by pure chance and karma we ended up on the same exhibit board together! :)

picture of Heather Crank, a real life bride on her wedding day in the US who wore bonzie on her wedding day and kindly thought to send us her pictures afterwards to share her special day with us. Little did Heather realize that she would be so well received and is now featured on print all over the world!! :)
You know what I love about these kind of showcases.... I love how it brings all of the local talent under one roof, I love how you get a glimpse into the strength of individual designers in your own area with the possibility of collaborating, networking and joining resources. The board above with bonzie designs and Shane O'Neill photography is a perfect example of how two local entities collaborated together to enhance each others business. Showcases such as this one facilitate more of that kind of networking and support system for local designers and individuals trying to carve out their own foothold in the local community.
Guys...on another note. Ger and I have some very exciting news coming soon. We are really looking forward to sharing it with you all in the very near future. The project is currently in motion and gathering speed and we should be in a position to share the launch and details pretty soon!! xxx
